What really goes on at the isolated US naval base?

According to the official narrative Diego Garcia, an atoll in the Chagos Archipelago in the British Indian Ocean Territory, serves as a United States navy support facility providing logistical assistance to US operational forces deployed to the Indian Ocean and Persian Gulf areas.

Located seven degrees south of the equator, the facility has been leased by the British Ministry of Defence to the US Navy since the 1970s, when the indigenous Chagossian inhabitants – about 2,000 native people – were forcibly expelled from the island to make way for the base.

Although the naval and airbase facilities are leased to the US Naval Support Facility Diego Garcia, it functions more as a joint operation with the United Kingdom retaining full and continual access to it. Operational support services at the base are provided by Houston-based defence contractor KBR Inc, while Serco Inc – the US subsidiary of the British defence multinational – maintains and operates deep-space surveillance technology at the facility...
