Crowds converging on Cardiff

Champions Festival

Zones for fans to soak up the Cardiff atmosphere

Two of Europe's biggest clubs, Juventus and Real Madrid, clash in the Champions League final in Cardiff tomorrow.

On the day two fan areas will open in the city centre, with only those with tickets able to access them. Real Madrid fans will be able to meet up on Churchill Way, while Juventus fans can gather in Callaghan Square.

At both areas, there will be food and drink stands but no alcohol will be served and there are no screens to watch the game as only ticket-holders can access the areas. There will be toilets and information facilities, with the advice for fans to "travel light" although there will be left-luggage facilities at both areas.

However there will be a family fanzone on the outskirts of the city, with the new Vale Sports Arena on Penarth Road, Llandough, screening the match.

The fanzone will be geared towards families, giving kids and parents the chance to enjoy the event on the big screen and take in the match atmosphere.

The arena will have giant screens and opportunities to have your photo with a Champions League trophy replica.

But before the game the Champions Festival in Cardiff Bay is the place to be for free entertainment, with thousands of visitors expected tomorrow and on Sunday.

Uefa Champions League partners Adida, BT Sport, Gazprom, Heineken, Mastercard, Nissan, Pepsi Max, PlayStation, UniCredit and Sony are also running promotions in Cardiff Bay throughout the festival.
