Let’s drink a toast to German ale

Oktoberfest sizzling in Swansea, Southampton and Swindon

The “Oktoberfest” theme will return to Swansea's Brangwyn Hall on 21 October when fine ales from across the breadth of Germany will be on tap.

After selling out in 2016 the German Beer Festival returns to the sound of traditional German drinking songs and dances, while bringing sizzling sausages and a continental flavour to the city.

The event is organised by Beerfest UK, which is also staging similar events in Southampton on 16 September and Swindon on 23 September.

The Southampton event gets the “Oktoberfest” celebrations off to a fine star at the O2 Guildhall, while the MECA, Regents Circus, is the site to head for in Swindon.

Tickets for the festivals are £12 in advance or £15 on the door, with a £2.20 "restoration and fees" surcharge at the O2 Guildhall. For more info visit the Beerfest UK website.
