Truman show for Craft Beer Rising

Craft Beer Rising

East London gets beerier and cheerier

Craft Beer Rising returns to The Old Truman Brewery next month... and it's promising to be even beerier and cheerier than before!

With more breweries and live music than ever, greater variety of street food in the new Foxes Den, more seating, a new beer hall layout, plus cider producers, live talks and much more... it all takes place over three days from 21-23 February 2019 in east London's revolutionary arts and media quarter.

CBR 2019 will include 178 stands, beer and cider combined, with trade sessions taking place on Thursday and Friday, and consumer sessions on Thursday and Friday evening, and all day Saturday.

Some of the more than 90 breweries already signed up include UK favourites Brewdog, London Fields Brewery, Mondo, Tiny Rebel and Fourpure. Rising stars in the industry Lost and Grounded and Bianca Road are among the many others exhibiting, while Brooklyn Brewery and Goose Island will both be coming over from the United States to bring some international flavour to the event.

This year there'll also be 10 of the finest cider producers exhibiting their crafty wares... offering a chance to take a break from all that beer. Among those confirmed are Sandford Orchards, craft cider makers from Devon; Sxollie, the worlds first Afro-Vegan cider; Thistly Cross Cider, Scotland’s award-winning farmhouse brew; and the Special Cider Company, one of only two original cider houses remaining in the UK.

Other producers include Hawkes, Caple Road and Kentish Pip.

With all the great drinks on offer visitors could get pretty merry by the evening when there'll be plenty of music to dance along to.

Eva Crystaltips and Jay Carder provide the tunes on Thursday evening, while on Friday Don Letts will be in the house, followed by the Zero 7 DJ set.

The daytime entertainment on Saturday comes from Pete Paphides and 45 Live; with Norsicaa, The London Disco Society, and the Cuban Brothers on sound duty in the evening.
