Geordie girls could be in for a big weekend from Friday, 1 June, until Saturday, 1 July, with a "sausage" fest due to hit Tyneside.

The Tyneside Sausage and Cider Festival, organised by Nineteen32, is the first installment of a trio of Tyneside Festivals in 2017 that will take place at the Linskill Centre in North Shields.

Completely new to the north-east, there'll be a range of ciders from around the world plus the best bangers from local sausage producers, including vegetarian and vegan varieties.

Tickets will be priced at just £5, with all proceeds going to support Linskill and North Tyneside Community Development Trust, and there'll also be live entertainment.

This is just one of the three festivals that Tyneside Festivals and the Nineteen32 team have lined up for 2017. Also watch out for Tyneside Gin Festival from 15-17 September and Tyneside Real Ale Festival from 20-21 October.
