Dressing to impress at CosXPo 2019

CosXPo 2019

Panels and workshops on the art of cosplay

A big hit when it was held at Reading University last year, CosXPo returns to the campus from 5-6 April this year with workshops, panels, cosplay lab, photo ops and the CosXPo championship.

The championship will take place on Saturday, 6 April, and cosplayers will have the opportunity to show off their dazzling costumes and provide spellbinding performances to an award-winning panel of senpais for the chance of prizes and glory.

A new addition to CosXPo 2019, the Easy United-sponsored cosplay lab will be open for the whole weekend and will feature various tools and materials for visitors to try, with handy lab technicians around to offer helpful tips.

Alongside this experimental area which visitors can use at their leisure, there will also be drop-in style workshops over the weekend, where mentors will guide visitors in making something for them to take home.

Both days will also feature a number of creative workshops on everything from pattern drafting, foam texturing, and creating cuts and bruises, to leatherworking, wigcraft, and moulding and casting.

There will also be a series of custom-built sets to make the most of the photo opportunities at CosXPo, with the Reading campus itself boasting some great scenery just waiting to be explored.
