Barry’s homage to Glastonbury

GlastonBARRY

Fantastic tributes to late great stars

OK so last night you heard Radiohead and the Blossoms and tonight it's the Foo Fighters, Katy Perry, the Kaiser Chiefs, Hothouse Flowers and The Avalanches, but as good as this weekend's Glastonbury lineup is you won't get to hear the sounds of late greats David Bowie, Prince and Stevie Wonder all played live.

Add the classics of Oasis, UB40, ACDC, Kings of Leon, The Jam, Stereophonics, Bryan Adams and The Verve to the package and you'll perhaps understand why music fans in South Wales are getting quite excited by the lineup for next month's GlastonBARRY Live Music Festival.

Running for the fifth consecutive year, GlastonBARRY has rapidly become one of the hottest and most talked-about tribute festivals in the UK. This year’s event has a capacity of 4,000 for each day, with 12 of the UK’s best tribute bands plus local support acts, two stages, special guests and some big surprises!

GlastonBARRY is the flagship event for Mack Events, who have also brought some huge names from the world of sport to the area, having held evenings with high-profile stars such as Paul Merson, Matt Le Tissier, Neil Ruddock and Jamie Roberts. The company are also involved in a number of other successful events in the local area including the Penarth Rocks Music Festival.

But GlastonBARRY 2017, being held at the Mack Events Marquee at Romilly Park from 29-30 July, promises to be by far the biggest event the company has done so far!

The line-up includes Prince tribute band Purple Rain, The Stevie Wonder Experience, David Bowie tribute Absolute Bowie, Oasish, UB40 tribute Johnny2Bad, ACDC UK, Kings of Leon tribute The Four Kicks, Jam tribute The Jamd, Stereotonics, The Bryan Adams Effect and Verve UK. This impressive list will be supported by The Valli Boys as well as some popular local cover bands and some special guests!
