FOCUS Wales

First wave of acts already announced

When it's spring in Snowdonia the focus in Wales turns to Wrexham as thousands of music lovers converge on north Wales' largest town for the country's annual celebration of new music.

Bringing more than 200 live acts to the town, FOCUS Wales provides an annual international multi-venue showcase for the Welsh music industry.

With the spotlight firmly on the emerging talent Wales has to offer the world, the festival takes place across 20 stages and brings a busy schedule of interactive industry sessions, stand-up comedy, arts events and film screenings to the party.

Also drawn to the town by a selection of some of the best new acts from across the globe, FOCUS Wales will welcome more than 10,000 visitors to Wrexham, with the festival’s ninth edition in 2019 expected to build on last year's record attendance with a jam-packed weekend of events.

As part of a partnership with the BreakOut West festival in Canada this year, the festival will welcome seven of the best new western Canadian bands in the form of Bad Animal, Frankiie, Yes We Mystic, Gunner and Smith, Miesha & the Spanks, Trash Hawks and Malcolm-Jay.
