HRH Metal a Chic affair

HRH Metal III

Hard Rock Hell a platform to build on

From one revolutionary residential festival in a multi-purpose holiday camp a little over a decade ago, Chic Festivals has grown to become a powerhouse on the European stage... and this year will be bringing 16 events to locations around the UK and one on the road in Spain.

It all started with Hard Rock Hell back in 2007, which is now into its 13th year and will take over Vauxhall Holiday Park in Great Yarmouth from 7-10 November 2019.

A mash up of many genres, voted in by the community who have attended the events over the last 13 years, HRH XIII will feature a mammoth lineup including At The Sun, Beth Blade and The Beautiful Disasters, Black Tree Vultures, Buckcherry, Cadence Noir, Chemia, Dear Superstar, Dee Snider, Devilfire, Diamond Head, Doro, Ethyrfield, Evyltyde, Gin Annie, Gun, Hand Of Dimes, Hollowstar, Kikamora, Killcode, Michael Monroe, Praying Mantis, Pulverise, Ravenbreed, Samarkind, Skam, These Wicked Rivers, Those Damn Crows, Tomorrow is Lost, Toseland, White Raven Down, Wicked Stone, Y!kes and Zodiac Mindwarp, with more acts still to be announced.

But November's a long way off and the HRH stable will be putting on 15 events before that, starting in Birmingham next month.

HRH Metal made its debut in Birmingham in February 2017, after Chic decided to expand into "city experiences" where they set up camp in historical music venues, capture every hotel on the door step and rebrand them to HRH Hotels. This started with two weekends in Sheffield in 2016.

HRH Metal II returned to Birmingham last year and sold out six months in advance, so now comes the third chapter with 40 bands playing at three O2 Academy arenas for two days of solid metal from 16-17 February 2019.

Acts confirmed so far include Decapitated, Trollfest, Devilment, Raging Speedhorn, Acid Reign, Lost Society, Fury, Def Con One, Red Rum, Bloodshot Dawn, Warlord, Witch Tripper, Shade Empire, Ballsdeep and Voodoo Blood, with more to be announced.

In addition to residential festivals in Prestatyn and Great Yarmouth, and city experiences in Birmingham, Sheffield and London; Chic Festivals also go to Ibiza for HRH Road Trip, are putting on two HRH Live nights featuring Manowar: The Final Battle in Birmingham, hold the HRH Awards in Great Yarmouth, and stage the Highway to Hell talent search in Sheffield. Not a bad effort for an operation that only started in 2007!
