Liverpool cathedral beer bash

Liverpool Beer Festival

Cryptic setting for a beer bonanza

More than 200 real ales and ciders will find their way into the Metropolitan Cathedral Crypt later this month when Liverpool Beer Festival returns to the city.

The event runs from 21-23 February, with afternoon and midday sessions available across all three days. On the Friday and Saturday evening sessions there will also be entertainment from the Brasswurst Bavarian Band.

Doors open on Thursday from 6.30pm to 10.30pm with admission costing £3. The Friday afternoon session runs from midday to 4pm and costs £7, with the Saturday evening session from 6.30pm to 10.30pm costing £8. Both the Friday evening and Saturday afternoon sessions are sold out.

A special tasting glass is included as part of the admission charge, with £3 worth of free beer vouchers available for CAMRA members at each session on presentation of a valid CAMRA card.

As the value of these free vouchers is equal to the admission price on Thursday, only an old festival glass will be provided free to CAMRA members attending this session, the current glass will however be available for purchase.
